iPhone Availability
I cancelled my order for an iPhone with Carphone Warehouse as they were taking too long to supply phone. I have mentioned this in a previous post.
I have two questions, I am based in Central London. 1. What are peoples recent experience with getting an actual iPhone, in particular from the Apple store. How long does it take and do they have much stock? I am at work and can only go in the evening, is this too late and will I have to queue for a long time? I want a 16GB phone. 2. Does the fact that I cancelled my CPW phone order and also the O2 contract have a negative effect. Will they let me setup a new account without any problems? I can't quite believe I still want one of these bloody phones!! Thanks. |

iPhone stock is apparently very sparodic, its impossible for the store to guess day to day if, and how much they'll get.
O2 keep a list of stores known to have one at www.o2.co.uk. Evenings will almost certanly be too late. |

Have a look at http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/iphone/availability.html
Apple update this page each day with availability in all their own stores - as I understand it Apple usually have plenty of stock. Not sure about your q2 above but wouldn't imagine it being a problem. Good luck

O2 seemed to be out of stock for a week and a half after launch but since then they have gradually had more and more stock and they are now updating their website on a daily basis with new stock information and their shops seem to be getting deliveries so I think you have a good chance of getting one.
