Anybody else notice that Penny's soul has gone missing. Ever since the argument with Stuart, she seems to have lost all her confidence compared to when she first entered the house. Have people been blanking her or something?

Could it be that not only does she sense she has been nominated but also that she is favourite to be the first evicted?

I think I would be the same if I was even one of the first to be nominated.
Penny tried too hard to be liked by doing all the cooking and stuff and trying to take control.
With shows like this you'll never really see peoples true personalties, instead they act in a way that they think will get them accepted within the group.
like I said though you can try too hard.

PS. I like the thread title (long live the Verve)

Personally I'm glad she's calmed down, it gives the others a chance to come forward more. For instance Elizabeth is taking a far more active role since Hilda's party.

Yeah Elizabeth is my favourite too but i sense that she may be developing a crush on...Stuart
We'll see but i don't see her nominating him through the whole series and i think she will make the last 3 too.

I want to put in a rare good word for Penny - I know she can be a bit irritating and motherly at times, but she really does mean well and would hate to think she's upset anyone. Stuart was totally out of order to her and by the end of the row was just trying to score points.

And notice how whenever she offers to make tea or starts cooking, very few (if any) of the others jump up and insist that she relax and let them do it.

On the other hand it might be good if she's evicted because she seems so upset / depressed and staying any longer will just make things worse.

I await the flood of disagreement

The School penny works at is not they far from me and the headmistress is saying that unless she starts behaving she could be well out of a job, i think we should swap the school with complaints.

It's a disgrace isn't it! A teacher acting like a vaguely normal person!

After all, no teachers ever drink, flirt, swear etc. do they???

Penny must be really dim if she thought she could go back to teaching children (above infants level) for a few years after being on BB. It was inevitable that she would give the kids to much ammunition to use against her.

I'm sure that her experience in the house will bring her new opportunities in media if she wants to take them.

Penny will end up working with Geri Haliwell.... probably juggling land mines or summit...

She reminds me of Thatcher.
