Wrong disk error
Hi,
I recently bought that cheap 16£ DVD player from Woolworth's as I really wanted one, so I just grabbed the cheapest I could find, know I downloaded a movie, and it was an .avi but I think it had a subtitle file with it. I presumed that the avi will find the file but I think you have to bind them together or something like that anyway. I put them both on a CD-R and when I came to watch it it said "Wrong Disk". Anything I can do? I know the DVD reads CD-R's, and I also have a DVD-RW but can that DVD player play .avi files or not? |

It sounds like the player simply doesn't recognise a data disk with an avi file on it, you'll need to find what formats it supports and re-encode the movie to match and then burn either as a data disk or it's more limited as a VCD/SVCD or even DVD.
