Well done Sam! That's a mighty coveted role! I'm sure she'll be FAB! I'll maybe go in Glasgow if it doesn't clash with my exams!

I found out about this yesterday. I was gonna post this but my internet has only just been switched on and I couldn't be bothered to go back to the library.

I may not be Sam's biggest fan (and I personally think it's too soon for her to play such a big role) but I still wish her the best of luck and I hope she does well.
Hopefully anyone going will let us know how she gets on.

I am very pleased for Sam and this is a great chance for her. Kudos for landing the role. I have to say though, it's not what I would have cast her in (I think she's a bit too young for it yet), but obviously Bill thinks she's ready, so fair play.

I think it will probably be a pretty contraversial casting choice. I'll admit I never envisioned Sam as a Sally Bowles, but I actually think she'll be really good, if not, great! We can't base her suitability for a character solely on her performances on IDA (most of which were pretty brilliant anyway!) Look at Tara, I'm sure most of us cringed when we heard she'd been cast as The Narrator in Joseph, but she's been getting nothing but praise from the critics. Bill Kenwright is a smark cookie, he wouldn't have cast her in such an important role had he not had full faith in her. Also, she had the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Macintosh on her side, that's got to mean something in theatre land.

I reckon she'll be fabulous. This will probably be just the beginning of a very successful career for her!

I think this will be a great role for Sam, I hope she does really well!

She wasn't a favourite of mine during IDA but I warmed to a few of her performances since!
