Those annoying little scratches

When I get a new phone, I always buy a case to protect it. With my new iphone I got a screen protector as well as I know how easily screens get scratched. Now for the past week the phone has been in its case and either on my desk/table or in my pocket (with nothing else in it) so how on Earth have little scratches appeared on the silver rim???
These little scratches seem to appear on every phone I own but where do they come from? The scratch fairy? lol

Believe it or not they can actually come from just having the phone in your pocket or touching fabric. There are tiny little bits of dust and dirt and that will cause the scratching.

Sadly its true. ANY kind of surface will scratch an ipod / iphone instantly

The most important bit though, the screens are very scratch resistent on these things, I'v got the original and it has no scratches on the screen, and only has a few very small marks on the back and I have never used a case at all.

The metal rim seems to be the least scratch resistant bit of the iPhone. It's better than some other phones and other iPods as well which are really bad for scratches.

I've had scratches on both my iPhones from just being in an empty jeans pocket. It seems the silver rim is ultra prone to this. Shame but a fact of 'iphone ownage' I'm afraid.

I have wooden stairs in my house.

My iPhone fell down them all

ran after it - it was fine! sturdy little thing!

I don't mind the scratches - like a new pair of trainers - need to be scuffed a bit!
