Bluetooth reciever

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a device that does the following.

Bluetooth reciever - portable.

I have a laptop and want to send audio (From itunes) to the reciever where I can plug my own headphones into. The laptop has bluetooth built in (HP 6715b).

It's for use while I at work. I can find plenty of bluetooth equiped headphones, but I want to use my own Sure in-ear phones.

The unit needs to small and portable, i.e it's own built in power supply and have a standard headphone socket...

I hope theres someone on here who can help.

Many thanks, Pete...

Not sure about the receiver, but I had all sorts of fun getting my PC to stream music to a set of bluetooth speakers I bought.

Turns out, XP doesn't support A2DP natively (you need this to stream music via bluetooth). Vista does.

I did manage to get it working eventually but it was PITA to set up.

You can't use XP's default bluetooth drivers .... you need to install different ones. (Having removed the XP ones first.)

I also got lucky in that the bluetooth dongle I'd had lying around for ages happened to be built around the Widcomm stack. If it's not, and you're on XP, I think you've had it.

So ... in short .... what OS is the laptop running?

Oh .... second thought on the receiver part. You could probably use this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-SHB7...6897079&sr=8-3

... it allows you to plug any old headphones into the receiver unit. I think there are a few more like that on Amazon.

Thanks for that sancheeez.

I bought the Philips from Amazon. I'll post on here how I get on.

Thanks again, Pete...
