phillips DVD/HDD recorders ?
i had to take back a phillips DVD/HDD recorder today due to the fact that the thing would not record direct to the DVD disc without first recording to the HDD.
This is wrong in my view and they dont warn you about this even in the manual yu get with the DVD/HDD recorder. I wonder who else has had this problem with the above make |

Philips makes many different DVD/HD recorders. What model are you referring to?

^^Yep what's the point of buying a HDD-based recorder if you want to record direct to disc?

My DVDR 7520H purchased last December permits recording directly to disc when in camera mode and it will do this from any input - SCART, S Video, Composite Video etc - thus the model number is essential to enable others to comment. Which one was yours? I have never used this because I want to confirm the recording is satisfactory before committing to disc and I have saved wasting discs a number of times. What precisely is the inconvenience you have experienced and why is it important?
