Swapping Orange for Virgin, internet not coming on

Hello All

I have a Sony Ericsson W810i, i have had it a few years with orange and have now changed to the Virgin 10 tariff. I had my phone unlocked so I can use it with Virgin.

My problem is I can't get the internet on it. I have been on Virgin's website and activated my internet, I agreed the new settings on my phone and it should work now. I have checked the settings and it is set to Virgin GPRS. The thing is, on the menu the access to the browser is through orange world, I can't go into my browser without having to go to Orange world first. On Virgin GPRS I cannot access Orange World so therefore I can't get anywhere. I can't get in far enough to enter my own address.

Does anyone know what I can do here? Has anyone had the problem and got over it or am I doomed to not having Internet on my phone ever.

Your help is appreciated.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with Sony software but on Motorola and Samsung phones you can go into "Browser settings" and then change change the "Homepage URL"

The homepage is the page the phone first loads when you press on the internet button.

You can set it to anything you like.. www.google.co.uk for example.
