Vodafone Contract - Change?
Hey all,
I've had been on my 18 month £35 a month Vodafone contract (500 mins + 1000 texts) since April last year. My contract runs out in October but I was wondering if the following change is possible now? I would like to move on to a 'sim-only' tarrif of 600 mins and unlimited texts per day for £20. Would they allow me to go on to this tarrif but continue to pay £35 until my contract runs out then once the 18 months are up to drop down to £20? The reason I ask is that in the last 3 months I have been going over my 1000 text limit and my bills have been around £60 ![]() Thanks folks. |

As far as I know, you can drop down one tariff level.
The thing about sim-only tariffs is that there is no phone supplied. You might be able to persuade them to change to a sim only tariff at the end of your contract. But why not put your tariff up, to one with more texts? This would be less than the £60 you pay. |

I pay £35 a month for 500 mins and unlimited free texts. I've had my contract since february. Cant you switch to that when your contract is up?

Just give them a call and see what they can offer you. I've been onto them today as i have two contracts and one runs out next month and i don't want to continue with it.
They told me you can change you price plan once a month without affecting the length of your contract. Give them a call tell them the situation. I'm sure they would rather put you on a price plan you can afford then risk you not being able to pay the bills. If you hint that you are considering leaving Vodafone once your contract runs out i'm sure they will be more accommodating as they just want to keep your business. I've had some fantastic deals from them. In fact i'm on a price plan that means i pay the price it cost 4 years ago not todays price and they keep trying to get me off it as they haven't been able to offer that plan to anyone for a couple of years now at the price i pay. |
