BIG BOTHER! Ready, Steady, Cook, Wed-Fri, BBC2
On Wednesday 3rd September Jon and twin Phil go head-to-head on Ready, Steady, Cook, which returns for its 10th series.

It seems the pair are perfect contestants. "There's a rivalry between us," says Jon, 29. "Especially over who's the best cook, I don't do a lot of cooking, but I consider myself to be more able than Phil! As soon as we got the opportunity, we jumped at it."

Chefs Tony Tobin and Antony Worrall Thompson help prepare dishes to decide who's tops in the kitchen. "In the Big Brother house, Nush nominated me because I didn't do any cooking, but we all had our jobs - I worked in the garden," says Jon.

Tony Tobin was recruited to help Jon prepare his chosen foods, while Phil landed Antony. "Tony and I cut a pork fillet in two," says Jon. "One half was on a bed of roasted peppers, tomatoes and onions, glazed in some shimmery stuff. That was pan-fried with orange zest and coriander and stuff. The second half was sliced thinly with mustard mash. Phil, however, cooked salmon - it looked awful!"

"I'm sitting back at my desk full-time now." he says. I had two weeks of madness after leaving the house, but now I'm getting back to normal.

"I expect I will continue to dabble with TV, but it will be done during holidays from work. There are various things in the pipeline, like some radio and a science show called Brainiac on Sky One in the autumn. l will only do guest spots though, not reporting - I still get nervous in front of the camera. I am keeping my eyes open and having fun. "Big Brother was absolutely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I was so pleased to be given that opportunity. I have not yet come across a downside." ”

Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, but being subjective, all the Tickle lads are handsome boys.

Absolutely not but what's that got to do with anything?

Jon is a very recognisable character but I don't recall anyone ever referring to him as the handsome nerdy one from Big Brother 4.

Just pointing out how cheap and petty your "point" is.

Personally I thought Phil overshadowed Jon. He was handsome, chatty, sociable and intelligent.

Actually I was just trying to make the point that different people find different physical attributes attractive. I can name you plenty of celebs that I don't personally find attractive although I can recognise why people do fancy them.

No, I would never have described Jon as handsome in the house.
However today, they both came across as handsome, cool and enjoying what they were doing.
As lulu g said "Two charming young men with lovely manners. Their parents must be proud." How true, that's exactly the way they came across and entertaining with it, neither less than the other.
Ready Steady Cook is actually a very good light entertainment programme, I haven't watched it for some time but really should, in addition to members of the public they also have some excellent guests, TV personalities, Sports, etc. Good chefs, often surprising results and amusing with it, good no-brainer fun.
The Tickle Twins did very well - they are each as good as the other - a great double act.

Jon's an average "looking" bloke, I disagreed with the comment that he was handsome, so how come that was a cheap and petty point?

I agree that everyone has different tastes but by no stretch of the imagination can Jon be regarded as handsome.
