I only have standard Sky installation and no terestial aerial. Can I use a Digihome PVR box to record Sky programs via the scart lead. The only reason I ask is that from reading various articles the PVR recorders use a EPG to control record times etc and obviously the output from the Sky scart to the digi pvr won't carry the Freeview EPG settings.

To expand a bit more, a PVR records the original digital datastream - it doesn't record audio and video - so it can't record anything except the internal Freeview digital data.

It is just about becoming possible to generate Freeview signals locally, so you 'could' convert the audio and video signals to a Freeview signal, and record that - BUT it's a LONG way from cost effective, go and buy a dozen HDD/DVR recorders instead, and buy beer with the change!.
