Soap ‘Over-actor & Over-actress of the Year’
How about nominations for the Soap ‘Over-actor & Over-actress of the Year’?
They could be in line for receiving an ‘Honor’ award, as a mark of distiction from the much acclaimed Honor Blackman Academy of Over-acting. To kick us off, I would nominate: For Emmerdale: Marlon, whose dramatic abilities would be severely limited to mime were he to lose the use of his arms. For Coronation Street: Dev, who by vowel stretching alone, could cause an episode to over-run by simply saying “Good morning!”. For Eastenders: Well…… I’ll leave that up to y’all to nominate, who do you think would (should?) walk away with an ‘Honor’? BTW, don’t confuse this with the ‘Under-acting’ awards – those who cannot see the wood for their cue cards! Heyho! C-E. |

I agree with the Emmerale and Corrie ones you nominated, C-E!
Here are the awards: Emmerdale: Marlon, Betty Coronation Street: Dev, Vera Eastenders: Derek, Peggy Underacting in Corrie would include the likes of Ciaran, Hayley, Tommy, Tyrone....................the list goes on!

What a hammy actor!
Should have stuck to Am. Dram. How many people in Manchester Terraces have an RP accent? |

Before reading everyone else's replies, Dev from Corrie immediately sprang to mind, so I guess it has to be him.

Another contender!!
After last night's (Thurs 11th) performance, I think a strong contender for Emmerdale now has to be Zoe!
Wow, what an alarming CU towards the end!! C-E.

I'm just wondering whether Letitia Deane is lining herself up for the Eastenders' nomination?
Especially after Tuesday's final scene. C-E. |

I think that, for Coronation Street, Karen could be nominated for the actress with the most athletic head movements.
Has she ever studied Asian Dance, one wonders? Heyho! C-E. |

After seeing some of his performances in the last week or so, Dev Alahan from Corrie could win this award hands-down.
He could 'over-act' for England, man!!! |

That and the most number of Finger-Wags per episode. 'But I want a horse-drawn carriage, Bay-Bay!' *wag wag wag* |

Mia the lawyer. Her exaggerated expressions are competing with Dev's right now. Both eyebrows were engaged in intense overacting tonight.
