With no reduction in price, you now only get 8 bars in a multipack of Twirls.

The credit crunch is finally hitting us HARD, people.

If it's hitting chocolate, maybe it should be called the 'credit Crunchie'.

Nothing to do with credit crunch at all, sizes of confectionery have been coming down for years.

Wagon wheels, Mars, Double Deckers, Cream Eggs to name a few are much smaller than they used to be.

Then you have the size of crisp packets nowadays, they used to be huge.

It's not breaking news if you don't have the "pictures".

---

"Analysts have predicted that, if this trend continues, by the year 2038 Creme Eggs will require a microscope in order to open the pack.

...Wagon Wheels will routinely be used by ants wishing to construct their own bicycles...

...Double Deckers will be single deckers...

...and the Mars Bar will be declared not a bar at all but an asteroid"

They obviously think they can get away with this, but they should remember that it was increases in the price of basic food commodities (ie bread) that started both the French and the Russian revolutions. They are pushing us hard....I expect to see angry torch and pitchfork wielding mobs on the streets of Bourneville before the week's out. Or however long it takes for everyone to dig out the pitchforks and torches from out of the back of the garden sheds, where they are buried underneath the kids' old bike stabiliser wheels and the box with packets of seeds the nation bought in the sales at B&Q a couple of years ago, but never got round to planting.

Just like Daz. Used to be 1kg now it's 750grams. Same price as the 1kg box was though!

It's not a myth about Wagon Wheels!

When I were 'lad, I used to go sledging on WWs down old pit.

We were so poor that one Wagon Wheel would feed our family for a whole week.

Churchill himself used to eat Wagon Wheels that were the size of Frisbees (this is when the Frisbee was the size of a dustbin lid)

We were so poor that the wrapping for a Wagon Wheel was made into clothing for a family of six. The chocolate coating in those days was six inches thick and made of fish.

We were so poor that...
