Cooking Lentils
I cooked lentils for the first time today. Were very nice. Now, I heard that undercooked lentils are bad for you, and I didn't cook mine for the full time - purely because they seemed soft enough after 30 mins cooking. Was I right to do this?

I think if you under cook the lentils they are harder for your body to digest. Try add some sprigs of the herb savoury to them to give the lentils a bit more flavour. Savoury is good with bean dishes.

Depends if they are husked or unhusked! Red lentils are unhusked, and take hardly any time to cook, about the same as rice. Green lentils are more like beans, have to be soaked and boiled. There are dozens of different kinds
