Nokia 6220 GPS
My girlfriend is looking at getting the Nokia 6220 Classic on 3 and was wondering about some of the features on the phone.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Nokia/Operators would be charging if you wanted to use the Nokia Maps functionality on the phones that have it. I also read an advert for O2 that said you could get 3 months free voice navigation on the phone. Not particuarly bothered about voice navigation but do you have to pay to just use the GPS "where am I?" functionality and graphic based navigation? Cheers. |

you don't have to pay for a where am i. But you do for navigation. It'll show you a map free.

Type in "Nokia 6220 review" into google and read them it will tell you about the phone. I can tell its a very capable phone on par with the N95 on capability, just not a big screen/slide/music controls.
Nokia Maps comes with 3 months free voice navigation as standard on all capable handsets, my N82 has it too. Its costs like £60 a year so personally i suggest you just buy a tomtom you can get them for like £100 for the basic model which will last you years you are paying lots of money over the years for voice guidance on Nokia maps. You can still use nokia maps without the guidance for free. |

yes the phone seems very capable.
a lot like the n95. in which case it will run garmin mobile xt. which is a full sat nav suite and can be picked up 'very' cheaply on ebay. |
