Can someone tell me which is the best combined DVD/HDD recorder for recording from Sky? (standard box NOT Sky+)

I need it particulary to have a good EPG of its own which allows you to timer record programmes from the sky box without having to put the programmes into the sky planner.

Also i need to be able to edit out certain parts of programmes on the HDD to leave out parts like adverts etc.
By this i mean when you archive the edited title to dvdr disc the bits cut out REALLY are cut out and not just skipped when played back on the dvd.
For example the total running time on a programme on the HDD is 60 mins but when ads are edited out the running time is 42mins, the archived title takes up 42 mins on the disc and not 60mins.

I also would like to be able to change/lower the recording quality of titles to be archived to fit on discs sometimes.

Any of the Sony ' 70 series recorders will fit the bill.

{770, 870, 970, 1070} - Larger number equals bigger hard drive. Otherwise the machines ae identical.

Also the new replacement '90 series recorders but they are much the same just more expensive.
