Hi,

I had a phone call from '3' the other night, my contract is nearing its end and naturally the sales guy had to call me to say thank you for being a loyal customer

Anyway, on this call he offered me a deal to stay with them for another 18mths and get a new phone, would you say the deal below is a good one?

750 Mins anytime, any network
50 Video Mins
50 Media Messages
£5.00 free downloads (music, video etc.)
3000 Texts Messages

All that for £27 plus a free Nokia 6220, is this a good deal or am I being ripped off? lol

Thanks Guys and Girls

Hmmm I'd argue it's competitive, however I don't understand why people are bought into the idea of getting more allowance than they need for a cheaper price?

Would you really need three thousand txt messages? I struggle to get through 100 a month on O2. Although in comparison, I think there are better deals out there if you shop around....look at o2....

Thats not good deal at all.. For £27 you must ask them for atleast Nokia E71, 500 Cross Network mins + 2000 Three to Three mins.

Im sure you will get that.... I have been with 3 for 4 years and thats what they are offering me even though my contract expired in October.

You can also get 1100 units. 1 unit = 1 min or 1 text. £20 a month.

Thanks for the replies, appreciated. I should have mentioned on the original message that I am currently getting everything mentioned apart from the extra, messages, I currently get 150 texts and I pay £35 per month, so it seemed like a good deal, however, listening to your comments I am thinking otherwise.

Thanks again.

It's a good tariff if that's what you need. it's not if you don't.

you need to look at how many minutes you need. how many texts. do you need 100 texts a day???

You need some data

if you get a smart phone you will use data. one because the phone is bog standard with out it. and two because three install the damn mail client that runs all the time.

the networks are expert at giving you what seems like loads but will not give you what you need.

The price is good see what you ned txts or mins, try and get your minutes up and sacrifice text messages. If you wont use much of either get the price down even lower £22-£25? the phone is actually a very capable phone, if your an avid texter or ue email and use your phone as a business phone and use lots of application word documents etc want the big screen the E71 might be good it does have a full qwerty. If you want a standard candybar phone the 6220 is a very nice phone 5mp with Real Xenon flash, GPS etc. If you want even more try and get the N95 8GB you may have seen these about its kinda thicker though, check the phones out in the shop if your curious about what phones to choose but the 6220 is a safe bet.
