Do you mean porrige?

Put about one cup of oats with two cups of milk into a big bowl and microwave for five minutes. Sweeten if you like with some honey or syrup or brown sugar

eat when cooled!

My mother used to add salt and a knob of butter.
Hated it made like that, but we had to eat it.
Thank goodness, she didn't make it too often.

Or even, porridge?

I make mine with soya milk and like it just with brown sugar sprinkled on top. Or with fruit or muesli if I want to make it more healthy.

one cup oats
one cup milk
one cup water

heat in a saucepan on a medium/low setting for 5 minutes.

Rinse the saucepan as soon as you're done cos it sticks like crazy otherwise.

I have it with jam. yum!

I've started eating a lot of porridge.........mainly 'cos i've discovered how to do it properly in the microwave.

First........and most important........buy good quality Oats.

Just buy a pack of Oats........Sainsbury 'Taste the Difference' Whole Rolled Oats are great, but I expect every supermarket has it's own 'quality brand' oats.

Avoid all the semi-prepared and processed oat-like substances such as Ready Brek, Oatso this or that

I put half a pint of milk in a bowl with 6 tablespoons of oats, stir them round, stick in microwave (uncovered) for about 4 minutes, take out, stir around, put back in microwave for two minutes..............at this point you have to watch them.......if the porridge expands to the top of the bowl, whip em out before they explode............

Stir in a teaspoon of suger, put on plate, sprinkle with more sugar...........which hopefully will melt a bit...........

That is so yummy..............

I make mine with soya milk, and add unsweetened apple purée, raisins and cinnamon.

I've used the microwave and a similar recipe for quite a while now. Though I often use water instead of milk.

Tend to have a bowl in the evening as a snack as I rarely feel like eating in the morning.

May do some now actually.

The way I do it is a cup of oats, about 1 and a half cups of milk and half a cup of water and a pinch of salt. Then cook in a pan on the hob on a medium heat for 5/10 minutes until thickened and the oats have broken down.

Then I put it in bowls with a little drop of cold milk, which goes like a moat around the edge and a spoon of golden syrup drizzled over the top. Hmmm..heaven I think I'll make some tomorrow now
