FINAL DIAMOND VETO SPOILER--September 5 veto
The winner of the final "diamond" power of veto for BB4 is
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ali Last edited by r151996 : 06-09-2003 at 08:15. |

Ohhhhhhh do tell........ how did she win it..... what was the competition. So.... that means presuming she takes herself off the block, Robert has to put Erica up instead.... and with Ali being the only member left who can vote, she has the total choice now as to who goes on Thursday. This will be interesting. Who will she want to get rid of most... Erica or Jun.

We have no details other than they had to place HGs in a certain order (using pictures I would guess) based on past competitions or something similar. They waited until nighttime because there was some sort of lighting involved in the competition setup.
There was apparently some controversy that the producers resolved, but every time the HGs start to even mention anything about that the live feeds are cut. I have FOTH music in my headset now for that reason as I type this reply. Ali has spoken to Erika without Jun present and assured her she is safe. A few minutes later Ali and Jun talked privately and they said everything is on schedule. I honestly don't know what will happen--there are pros and cons to either move. |

Well With Ali you never know
Ali has now told both Erika and Jun that she's keeping them and voting the other one off. So with this girl you can never tell. I hope she keep Erika but its not looking very good for Erika

Alison and Jun had already talked the other week about getting Erika out if they got the chance, knowing Erika was their biggest threat, and taking each other to the finals. |

Thanks Susann... now I can enjoy the final of BB USA... but I really don't want to see Robert, Jun or Ali win this. Well Jun would be bearable... if she gets to the Final 2...

I gotta say......my favourite to win this has been Erica. I really like the girl, and I still hope she does. HOWEVER if she does go this week, then I have to say..... good old devious Ali has my vote all the way. My goodness this girl has schemed and worked her way through the weeks to get where she is, and fair play to her. I hope that the houseguests who are now on the Jury, in hindsight, will see that, and let bygones be bygones..... A game is a game...... and its every man for him or herself to see how far they can get themselves. And, Alison like her or hate her...... has done her best to get this far....... I hope she goes all the way now. They all had their chances..... just like she did. I would love to see her walk away with the big one.

let bygones be bygones?
When money is at stake very few people will sportingly support (s)he who played the best game... they grudgingly vote for the person they dislike the least. |

Ali
I feel so bad for Erika, Ali will have the worst guilt feeling when she watch the BB tapes when she goes out of the house.
She will see how Jun used her to get to the final and made her vote out the only person that liked her in the house and treated her like a younger sister (Erika). Erika deserve better than that.

When Alison veto's herself off, if shes allowed to, as it is a diamond veto this time and there is confusion and speculation going on as to the difference between the diamond and golden veto, will Robert be able to put himself on the block instead of Erika to replace Alison? as Robert is HoH.
As there is speculation on the sites that he is thinking of doing this to try to get rid of Jun rather than have Erika voted off. But surely that would mean both Alison and Erika would have to vote, and thus be in agreement on the vote. Would Robert trust Erika enough to do this though? And if there are any of our American friends on the board, is Robert allowed to do this ?? Lol, hope you understood all that. Susann, very with BBUSA at the moment, especially this diamond veto, please help.

The meaning of the "diamond" nickname will likely not be clear until Tuesday's show, but based on this voiceover quote at the end of Friday's episode most of the speculation that Ali will not be the only vote is probably inaccurate:
"Who will win the final power of veto and gain control of the next eviction?" |

They probably call it Diamond because whoever is not on the block is the ONLY person to vote for who is to be evicted. As the veto holder is unlikely to take the risk of leaving themself on the block they will decide who is evicted.

As the veto holder is unlikely to take the risk of leaving themself on the block they will decide who is evicted. so there would be the need to give it a special name, which leads me to believe there must be another reason for it. Also there was no no veto at this stage last year, so I have read on the forums anyway, so doesn't this veto rather underestimate HoH's position in this instance, not a sensible move on BB's part in that it is a bit unfair on the HoH, which begs the question, if they are going to do this, why bother with a HoH this week, why not just let the veto holder nominate the hg's instead as they seem to have more control over the situation this time. I think unless this diamond veto has a special meaning to it, that BB have rather messed up this week with the mix of HoH and the veto. |

Originally posted by jamatthews Then as I asked earlier on in the thread why is Robert as HoH, considering putting himself on the block, to ensure Erika's safety this week and to try and get Jun out. Surely this wouldn't make him safe. The HOH is always important even if you can't control who goes, simply because it ensures you are here for another week. I was hoping someone could answer that earlier question of mine, as I am finding BBUSA a bit confusing at the moment this week, but no one has come forward with an answer to that question just yet, I was hoping someone would.

I personally have not heard Robert mention putting himself on the block. Robert has told Ali that they are in the final three. I have only seen the speculation on BB boards that Robert might nominate himself.
The rules have always stated that the HOH cannot nominate themselves, unless that is being changed at this point. If there is going to be a twist, the HGs do not seem to be aware of it yet. |
