Credited wrong phone
Hi
Wondering if anyone can help me. I have 2 mobile phones, 1 registered to me, 1 to someone else. One for T mobile which is mine, the other one for Orange. Today I went to the shop and chose the wrong top up card so have credited the wrong phone, wanted to top up the tmoible but chose the orange one instead. Paid by cash. If I phone Orange do you think they might refund the money somehow. Or am I best going back to the shop where I did the top up and asking if it can be transfered some how? Or has anyone any other suggestions. Thanks |

top ups are non refundable so don't think you'll get anywhere- it may have been a different case had both numbers been on the same network, but with two different networks, you'll have no chance.
Cant you just ask the owner of the mobile you've topped up to give you the money to cover the topup you have inadvertantly put on their phone. Be more careful next time

When I went to top up my phone last week, I heard the woman that was showing another woman how to use the top up machine say that it must be processed properly as it is very difficult to refund someone for a top up.

If the store swiped your card, they can do a refund until 5 minutes after topup went through, after that it wont work.
you wouldnt beleive the amount of times someone comes back in claiming the topup didnt go through, and you read out the phone number back to them to verify thats their number and they say "oh thats my husbands phone number", yet they still insist on it somehow being your fault, claiming you must have entered the wrong number. The chances of me swiping their card and the machine misreading the card, and out of all the numbers on the planet, the machine choose to top-up the person they have been married to for 20 years........well lets just say the chances are remote in the extreme.
