VOIP on VM
I have a phone through VM and 24/7 free landline calls.
Will it be cheaper to use the phone via VOIP in terms of call charges/line rental etc. i only ring UK landline and mobile numbers. I dont know how the VOIP charges work. Do Vm offer any voip services? also i want to keep my number. Any advice? |

You probably be better off using a mobile to call other mobiles. Since VM do various bundles and deals, how much would you save if you got rid of your Virgin phone line? If you do go VOIP I would suggest keeping the Virgin line for incoming calls, at least until you are confident that the VOIP line works as well as you'd hoped. |

I was VoIP only for over 3 years and only had a few minutes where the broadband went down and I couldn't phone out / people phone in (obviously) which is less than my phone I have now with VM (due to retentions offer) where it's been down several times for several days.
Whilst I do have a few mobile phones (on different networks) I don't have a contract as they are a waste of money, have Vodafone family for the 6 people in the group and use the other phones for people on those networks, but only for very short calls - as I hate wasting money. I use VoIP for when I don't get inclusive calls on the landline (which I wouldn't have but because VM offered free and reduced the price of my TV and broadband). |
