emily bishop=pro life??
i found those speeches that emily bishop gave tracey barlow the other week really unneccessary-the writers seemed to be using her as a mouthpiece to imply that abortion is wrong and that the only reason tracey was considering it was because she was a bad person
i dont just think it is because she is a doddery old woman-it seemed more than that to me

Probably not the best place to get into a discussion about the rights and wrongs of abortion, but Emily was simply representing the beliefs of a large proportion of people, that abortion is not an action that should be taken lightly.

i don't intend to get into such a debate-but let's put it this way-it didnt seem to be very "emily-ish" more what a writer believed to be true
and i'm sure one speech would have been enough instead of the 2 equally offensive ones that she gave! she didnt say anything about taking the decision lightly-it could have come from the mouth of a pro-life protester! |

Don't forget - Emily never had the chance to have children. Usually people in this situation are more vociferous.
