Hello

We use a VPN (Checkpoint) enabling staff to use thier laptops at remote locations over a broadband link. We have two profiles setup: Primary, which uses several outgoing ports and Visitor, which uses one port. The 3 mobile broadband usb stick works with the VPN but will only connect using the Visitor profile, which causes the connection to be slow.

We had this happening for the O2 usb sticks but we spoke to O2, who made a change thier end, enabling the sim cards for VPN use. We were then able to connect using Primary mode.

Does anyone know if the three sim cards can be enabled for this?

I have tried to call 3 but ended up going round in circles.

Regards

Laurie

AFAIK 3 have a dedicated business support department based in Glasgow who should be able to resolve VPN issues. It might be a bit of a chore getting to them though as most of the customer service is provided by operators in Mumbai.

One quick way to short circut the merry-go-round would be to seek assistance at a local 3Store where they have direct access to all of the support services.
