I'm looking for a recipe for a cherry and onion sauce. I have a good recipe for onion sauce and was thinking i may just throw some cherries in there, but that might not work out. I had it on chicken recently in greece and it was the nicest sauce I've ever had. Google searches don't seem to be helping. It was a light, not sweet, but not savoury sauce, kind of onion sauce in colour, but with specks of red (cherries, i would assume) and all the recipes on google seem to lean towards a more cherry based sauce, which I don't think is what I'm looking for. Anyone?
