Hello all.

I've just inherited a sat dish and an old SD plasma screen (which only has VGA input with a little converter box with a single scart socket), so I ended up buying a Goodmans SD freesat box. I want to record some stuff, but realise that none of this set up is very future proof.

My current thinking is that I'll buy the DMR-EZ27, daisychaining the scart output of the satellite box into it, and then the DVD's output into the TV's converter box - presumably via a scart switch, with the satellite box's other output in the other socket.

I realise that this leaves me without the EPG and such things on the DVD recorder (for satellite), but later I will upgrade the freesat box to one with a PVR - and in the meantime, I can use the DVD tuner and the conventional aerial to record freeview.

This will record freesat, won't it?

Sorry if this is a silly question; I'm not drowning here, but I'm definitely treading water. Thanks.
