I used to love Tesco (healthy living) chicken salad ones, but they don't sell them anymore. So I've resorted to making my own, but they don't turn out right
![]() As a kid I loved vegemite and jam sandwiches. Don't knock it until you've tried it!

I'm a bit boring with my sandwiches, not very adventurous but I like Tuna and Salad Cream mixed together. Used to like Mayonnaise but my mom bought some really wrong stuff once that kinda put me off it.
May have Tuna and Salad Cream mixed together with loads of Salad Cream tomorrow , bugger the calories for a change!

Either crispy bacon or an old time favourite from childhood - 'Seaside Sandwiches' ...egg and tomato chopped up with a bit of mayonnaise. We always had them as kids when we went for a day at the beach!

Sliced chorizo, or similar sliced meat.
Good grilling/frying cheese - Emmental is ideal, must be firm. A good pepper sauce. Fresh mint. Spread the sauce on both inside of the bread, layer the meat and cheese then grill until you're content. Stuff the mint in. This can also be done using pannini bread, grill for 3 minutes in the Gerge Formby, or using tortilla bread in a frying pan (heat one slice of bread first, replace in the pan with the 2nd piece, add ingredients and place 1st piece on top. Great range of tastes and textures. The heat of the pepper sauce and the freshness of the mint work really well together as well. |

Grate some strong cheddar into a bowl. Add a squirt of mayo and a big dollop of branstons- has to be big chunks though- and mix well. Smear thickly on crusty white- no butter needed.
Yum Or crispy fishfingers, butter and ketchup on soft warbies toatie loaf. |
