Rose wine- I'm lovin it
Anyone else really enjoying this rose craze. Apparantly one in ten wine bottle sold here is now rose and it has overtaken white in France.
Currently enjoying cheap as chips Gallo ( I know it's tacky) over ice as a long drink and only 9.5% so you can drink more safely. Also Banrock- the best boxed wine brand ever has a rose that is pure yumminess- mix with lemonade and a slug of creme de cassis with some lemon and mint with loads of ice in a big jug for the best summer cooler. And Mateus- why did no one tell me. It is so good chilled- slightly sparkling yum yum. Any Rose recommendations? |

I love rose. One of my favourites is the cheapest around - Anjou. I like the French roses a lot, and also the Californian zinfandels.

I don't drink much wine, or anything else for that matter, but when I did have a go at wine-drinking a couple of years ago i settled on Rosé as my tipple of choice.......
It just tastes so much nicer than red or white......... ![]() Course, being a man, I drank it from a dirty glass.......

I've just been camping, and there's definitely something about drinking slightly warm rose from a tumbler in the dusk.

We rarely drink anything other than Rose now, in fact its a little too easy to drink
- we're on holiday this week, and since last Saturday we've seen off far too many (I make it about 15 bottles ) - in fact last night and tonight are self imposed 'dry' nights as a result.

I love it as do many of my DS aunties.
But don't tell my mates because I'm a super tuff northerner!

That's the one on offer in Threshers- great with clinky ice cubes in the garden.
I've been drinking it for years!!!! Is it wrong to fancy a glass before 11am?

I adore Rose wine. I adore the sparkling rose that you can buy in the supermarkets. Very nice when sitting in the backgarden having a pre dinner drink

White Zinfandel is a rose, I don't know why they call it white though?

A good Shiraz Rosé is nice, it's sort of a cross between the light refreshingness of a standard rosé but retains some of the shiraz body

Having trying to find 'my drink' for a bit - I think I'd settle on Rose as being it. Definitely the nicest wine (I can't stand red) and you can get it cheap and it still tastes nice as well which is always a bonus

My brother in law bought me a bottle of Blossom Hill white Grenache and I must admit I usually only drink red so I put it in the cupboard, having read all you good comments on Rose I decided to give it a whirl and do you know what I'm a convert to Rose.

The Gallo family do a Sycamore Canyon Syrah Rose which is really nice, it's priced at £ 8.00 per bottle but at the moment Asda are doing a multisave offer where you can get 3 bottles for £ 10.00 - bargain! Get it while stocks last!
