Just bought Ferguson F1901LVD - help please.
Hi,
just bought this Ferguson F1901LVD combi lcd 19 inch tv & dvd player from comet. All seems to be ok except for a lighter area most noticable at the top and bottom of the screen, it sort of runs along the top, most obvious on darker backgrounds. To describe it, it would be like I have seperately brightened these parts of the screen. Is this normal for lcd tv's of this size or cheaper tv's in general or is there a problem? Cheers. |

It's quite common for LCD TVs to suffer from this, even top of the range Sony Bravia LCD TVs. Suggest you return the TV.

Stinky backlight bleed, they won't take it back, it's not faulty in their eye's, cause they are fud's!

theres no problem, as Ghostleader says, its likely to be the backlighting appearing and theres nothing you can do about it except change the tv for a better model that doesnt suffer from this problem.

You can also try turning the backlight down in the menu, often these come set at full (10) try turning it down to 5 or 6
or apx. halfway depending upon how it marked. Also if the contrast & or brightnes is to high it can emphasise it. Most dealers will not change the TV for this as it is not actually a fault. |
