DTS master audio etc from ps3
Hi,
I cannot seem to get the HD surround formats from my PS3 using blu-ray discs into my Onkyo 606... I am missing something?? DD or DTS is the best I can get. I am connected to amp via HDMI. |

And from the discs I have - there are not that many that offer DTS-MA anyway.
Have you checked your BD are not just ordinary DD |

Thanks for your help...
It seems the PS3 did need to be set to LPCM, and it decodes the signal itself, its a little confusing though, as the amplifier will not light up with the DTS-MA indicator, as it being recieved in LPCM. Maybe Im getting old, I do this for a living, but it is getting more and more complicated this home a/v stuff. I have to be one step ahead of my customers!! |
