I have an annoying problem with my set, when it is switched on it starts on av1 channel and I have to turn to av6 to watch Sky. Is there a way to make tv start on av6? thanks for any help.

Assuming AV6 is HDMI then probably not.

What are you watching on AV6?, is it Sky HD?, if so you can program the Sky remote to switch to AV6 when you press any Sky button (TV Guide etc.).

I'm presuming you have already turned off the unused AV inputs, so you don't have to step through them all.

Thats wierd.

I've only got the KDL40U3000 and it starts on Sky HD (connected via HDMI) when I switch it on?

I've never altered any setting for it to do so .... it just does it .... even if the Sky HD box is on standby, the TV still starts on that channel.

If you search the Sky HD forum all the details were posted there over two years ago, you can set a macro in the Sky handset to make it directly select the AV you want.

Do you have something connected to AV1 as well?, that may be forcing the TV to AV1 when you switch on.
