Any Comments or alternative sugestions welcome please. TIA: Personally, I prefer the Panasonic DVD recorders as I find them to be of a superior quality and slightly easier to use. Sony ones are pretty good too but the recording drives are of a poorer quality to the Panasonics and do not support all DVD formats like the Panasonics. I have found a couple of alternatives which I feel are greatly superior to the Toshiba (but thats my opinion): This Panasonic This Sony The Sony comes with an analogue and digital (Freeview) tuner but the Panasonic only has a digital (Freeview) tuner and you can connect any other equipment to both of them via the scart, etc... If you do not need an analogue tuner (which the majority of people do not now-a-days, i would go with the Panasonic as in my experience it is a really good product. If you do require one, I'd go with the Sony. |

I have not had any experience with Toshiba DVD recorders recently but in the past I found them to be poor. Having looked at the unit, it looks OK on the specs but reliability could be questionable.
