Jodie to be in Les Mis for 4 weeks..
Not sure if people are aware but Jodie will be going into Les Miserables for 4 weeks starting 27 August - she will be in the ensemble and do 8 shows a week. She wont have any solo lines or anything but this is just to give her some stage experience.

I wish I could go and see her. I love Les Mis anyway and it's been a couple of years since I last saw it live.
Break a leg, Jodie.

What a good idea. Might as well take full advantage of the long period between competition and show and fully prepare her for the west end life.
May try to see her, but I'm still trying to work out at the moment when I am going to try to go for Oliver!, that is a bigger concern at the moment. |

Confirmation on this story from The Stage Quote:
A spokesman for Mackintosh confirmed that Prenger was currently in rehearsals for Les Miserables, which is running at the Queen’s Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. She will perform for three or four weeks from August 26, taking on a variety of small roles in the ensemble.
He added: “It’s something that we’ve consciously decided not to announce. We want her to keep a low profile and build up on the training that she underwent on the programme. We thought it would be useful for her to experience what it will be like performing regularly in the West End in that musical environment. We thought that it would be good to learn what it is like to be a company member.” |

Didn't see her on 13th but thats not surprising. Its a good idea. The ensemble roles in les mis are similar characters in a similar time period/outfits and you get a thousand people to play to which should be an essential experience before going out on stage in oliver.
They seem to be looking after their Nancies. Jessie has been performing and doing interviews with Aoife in Ireland and perfoming to big crowds for ALW as well as reportedly doing the acting course with Hermione - which also is a pretty classy way of learning the trade. |
