Tomtom Go720 Internal Disk Issue
barel.la

Hey guys,

Can anyone help. I've got a Tomtom Go 720 and three days after the warrentee ran out the internal disk failed.

I tried to connect it to my Mac and my Work PC but the Tomtom is not showing the internal drive. I managed, after some tinkering, to use the SD card slot which tricks the Tomtom into working but it's much slower to start than the internal drive.

Anyone got any suggestions or is the drive a lost cause?

I thought items had been of a 'merchantable quality' for much longer than one year?

Press the reset button on the bottom then you should hear the TomTom drum beat.

Re-connect the TomTom in a different usb port to the usuall one you use, and Windows(?) should re-look for a usb driver to enable you to veiw the contents.

Tried that but no joy. I get the drum beat but then all I get is a circle with a big cross on it.
