LCD TV with built in DVD player
Can anybody tell me if I would be able to have the sound of a music cd playing in the dvd player on th tv coming through my Hi Fi speakers. What leads would I need and where on the back of the TV would I plug it into? On the back of the TV it has DVD Video out jack
Common interface slot Audio jack (PC IN) Monitor/VGA jack (PC IN) Scart jack (AV in 2) Video In jack (AV in 1) Audio in jacks (left/right) (AV in 1) Phones jack Tv Antenna Cable terminal - Coaxial TV antenna unput. I know where to plug them in on the back of the HI Fi. Hope someone can help. Thanks |

Thanks You don't say anything about you're hifi, but I'll assume it has 2x Phono connections (usually one red, other white). I think you have two options: 1 - SCART and you'll need a SCART > Phono cable. This is probably the best option. 2 - Use the 'phones jack - probably a 3.5mm jack plug. Again you'll need a lead from the 3.5mm to whatever connection your hifi has. The downside with this, is that the output from the Headphone socket is changed by the volume control on your TV, so you may have probs getting it set up properly. To get the relevant leads, your local branch of Maplin - www.maplin.co.uk should be able to help. |
