How's this for a diet?
A mere 12,000 calories per day! Mind you, he does put in a bit of exercise to help burn them off.

This is the diet only for race days, on days when he makes more than one race per day - Phelps has a completely different diet for training days and another one for rest days, with less carbs (lots less carbs!) and much more protein and vegetables and fruit - which are almost absent from the race one for digestive reasons.
I was shocked myself when I read it, but a sport doctors explained that he's on three different diets actually............ |
