Hi
Can anyone tell me the size Vesa side of the KDL-40W2000?

Am looking for a wall mount and seen this but not sure if it the right one

I would say that's far too small for a 40 inch set, I've fitted LOT'S of sets on walls, and all the large ones like your's don't have a single plate that fastens to it. They have two separate vertical channels with lot's of holes so they fit almost any set. Those channels then hang off a plate fastened to the wall, more than long enough to accomodate any set the bracket is designed to carry.

I've fitted lot's of different types, and all have fitted with no problem.

EDIT: BTW, if you want a bracket that pulls out and tilts like that small one, they are VERY expensive, VERY heavy, and you need a seriously strong wall to fasten it to.

I've only seen Vesa mountings on LCD TVs upto 26" - larger TVs typically have four holes which are separated by more than 200mm and you need to use the mounting system described by the previous poster.

Although this mount is specified upto 30Kg there is no way I would use it for anything above a 26" LCD TV.

As it happens I've got a 40W2000 to hand (a headbutted one), the mountings are 40cm horizontally and 20cm vertically - presumably this is a VESA standard?.

There are also further holes spaced differently, you simply use the holes which are best for the bracket you have, and for how high you wish to mount it.
