If I have cold leftovers of boiled or baked ham I like them with either

1) Mashed potato and scrambled eggs (lavish care on both), Worcester Sauce and black pepper

2) Bubble and squeek, pickled onions (black pepper).

where do you buy this boiled or baked ham? I've been looking to buy ham to make ham fried rice and the nearest thing I can get is gammon. None of the stores near me sells it.

Vic,

If you have any reasonably-sized supermarket, (or better, a butcher), they'll have a delicatessen which will have whole cooked hams. They will then sell you some, either sliced to whatever thickness you like or as a whole piece. Does that make any sense?! This Olympic nonsence is addling my brain!

On the OP, I love ham, egg and chips, so that's what I'd do if I had any leftover!

You can buy the meat raw and bake or boil it yourself. That's what I do.
I love making pea and ham soup with the bone and some of the leftover meat.

I should perhaps have used the term gammon. I have got into the habit of regarding it has ham when cold, whether previously boiled or baked. I'm sure good quality could be found at good butcher or farm shop.

Incidentally the ham/gammon remains in cold slices, not cooked in with anything.

I make Spaghetti Carbonara if I've got any left over.

Mmmm, I use ham shanks or hough's to make pea and ham soups. Though the last time I did make soup, I mistakenly bought a pork shank; instead of ham. Still tasted nice, so now I am claiming the name PP Soup

Oh no! Your pea and ham soup has just reminded me of that advert for Knorr stock cubes.

As for left over baked ham, can't beat it on a sandwich with cheese and english mustard.
