It doesn't fit with anything else we know about Doc/Rose.

Although I do think he snuck off without a goodbye because she would have wavered again. Poor girl didn't know which way to turn so he settled it for her. You can't doubt from his face that his heart is (hearts are) breaking as he turns away from her. It also looks like he can't bear to watch her kissing the clone, even though it's what he wanted her to do.

Probably a topic for another thread. But I agree, it's all wrong. Billie said it felt wrong and she should know. Russell earns my admiration for giving life to this magnificent iconic heroine but he should still be shot for writing her an ending like that! ”

yes with you again on all of the above. I love the way DT played that, his face broke my heart. Rose did deserve more and now she is being criticised for being clingy, which she never was or is. Just wrong for such a great character and pairing.

Andy and Dawn I personally think it's was a most beautiful, heartbreaking scene in JE for Rose and the two Doctors .My take on it is the Doctor sacrificed his own feelings for Rose because he felt it was the right thing for Rose who he clearly adores.I think he was willing Doctor 2 to do all the talking and for both to take the chance of happiness he offered them -and when Doctor 2 did tell Rose he loved her my take on that is it was so painful for the Doctor to watch he just could not say anything-all so sad .

I think Donna is brilliant would love to see her back one day -but Rose has more significance for sure -with Donna and the Doctor a true friendship but it's a love story for sure with the Doctor and Rose.

I would have liked a closure for The Doctor & Rose though but perhaps that is just an ask too far!!!!
