I thought she was amazing, distinctive voice and good personality. She needs to choose other songs so shes not compared to much with amy, but i think a distinctive voice is usually missing from the xfactor. Potential top 12 contestant.

I thought she was alright, a bit copycat though. I don't think she has the right image for X-Factor either. Even if she gets to the live shows and they polish her up, I don't think she'll appeal to many people. We'll see though.

I also think she's brilliant. Will be supporting her all the way if she maintains the standard we saw this evening. The girl sure is good.

Can't disagree. I found her speaking voice a little irritating but when she opened her mouth to sing, it was amazing. And of course, she has the sob story that is so popular though I find that the most annoying part of Xfactor. I think she has the sort of personality that goes far too.

Her voice was alright but I wasn't keen on her at all. I'm nearly 100% sure though that she'll be through to the live shows.

Plus winning would get her off benefits...we're all winners then!

I think she is due to the 'distinctiveness' in her voice.

I dont think her image will be a problem, i dont expect her to win but i will be interested to see more from her.

Other people that didnt have great images were- dionne, nikki, rhydian.

I thought she had a fantastic voice, and its not like Amy Winehouse is the only person to have ever sung like that.
Can't see her winning, but she could get the live stages, I hope so at least.

That's a very good point Hotelier, sob stories can be annoying but the papers would have had a field day with this.

I get sick of the samey boyband/girlgroup types that all sing and look the same on X factor, I hope this year we have more varied contestants like her.

I liked her and she fits with Cowells desire for a "rough round the edges" winner this year.

Amy winehouse has a 'black voice', so amy winehouse could be said to be copying the black soul Motown women.

It seems that voice is her 'real voice', dont see why she should change it too sound different, IMO her voice sounds different to winehouse anyway. She just needs to sing different songs, so its more obvious.

But I know exactly what you mean. The minute the sob story started rolling I just thought "Let's get the violin out " and it's difficult to warm to someone when their sob story is milked so much by the editing.

this story was in the sun newspaper a few days ago. i think she has a good voice though,would be interesting to see what else she can do.

Great jazz/soul voice. I don't think, if she gets to the live shows, she'll last long, not because of any lack of talent, but because the public and especially the media will turn on her. It was a good move in some ways to try to defuse that by being upfront about the whole thing (as far as we know), but it will put off some people.
