tv remote sensor flashing constantly

hi guys hope you can help me

i have a 23'' philips lcd tv approx 1 year old, the remote sensor light is going haywire and it wont respond to anything on the remote that i do

its favourite trick is turning the volume up to 99 have taken remote batteries out and that doesn;t do anything

any suggestions?

Check for a stuck-down button on the set.

A common fault on a Beko CRT set was the main micro-controller inside the set (which was a Philips IC) - the IC failed, and gave the impression that the Channel+ button was permanently pressed.
