![]() Then for dinner tonight, a slow cooked whole chicken in parsley sauce ![]() For your soup, you could add sweet potato, and will add a nice taste to it. Are you going to blend your soup? I was thinking of having my veg soup chunky instead for a change today. |

I've just made chicken and rice soup. Perfect for taking to work in a thermos flask, means no waiting around for to be able to use the microwave.

If you haven't already made it I'd say skip the sweet potato, cooked peppers are sweet enough as it is.
I'm doing roast loin of pork with sage and lemon + roasted butternut squash, carrots and purple beans. Carrot cake for desert. |

I made lancashire hotpot tonight and I took my fingernail off with the potato peeler cheering for Christine Oona-whatsit when she won gold in her race. The finished product (nail free) was good though- well worth the pain!!

Earlier I topped puff pastry circles with garlicky tomato sauce, roasted sliced aubergenes and slivers of strong cheddar cheese, - turned out delicious.
