As long as you transport it upright (definitely not flat) and don't chuck it around too much, it should be fine. Upright in the original box would be the best option.

Moving mine in a couple of weeks, how come it's not a good idea to move it flat?

It places too much stress on the glass and you run the risk of it cracking/shattering.

I moved my samsung 42inch plasma about 2 months ago, however I didnt have the box. What I did have, was the spongy bag thing that the screen was wrapped in. I put that on and used very large bubble warp to wrap around the screen, with selotape. The screen was put on the back seat of a car and propped up using blankets and pillows behind to keep it upright. Then I used the duvet off our bed to wrap around the front, and finally two seat belts tied together in the middle to stop it moving.

Watch out for speed humps and take it easy when you do move it.
