Philips LCD TV settings
Recently bought a Philips LCD TV (32PFL7782) from Currys - not the most up to date model, but the picture and sound are very good and we preferred the styling over other alternatives. Very pleased with it so far, but a couple of niggles I'd like to address if possible.
First on switch on, it always defaults to HDMI 1 which the DVD is plugged into. However, this is the least likely "channel" we would watch - normally it would be better to switch on to either EXT 1 (Sky box - SCART) or the integral DVB-T tuner. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the switch on default channel please? Second it doesn't seem to respond properly to the widescreen switching signal from the Sky box through the SCART input - if it is in 4:3 mode and you turn to a 16:9 broadcast on the digibox, the picture will swap to widescreen, but if you go back to a 4:3 broadcast, the picture stays widescreen. Again does anyone know if it possible to change this behavoir please? |
