I trying to decide which is my best option, a Nokia N95 or Blackberry 8110.

What are the pros and cons of each, they seem to be similarly priced.

Other than phone calls and texts, I want to use it mainly for email, but also occasionally use the internet on it.

Any pointers gratefully received

Cheers

Well you really couldn't have chosen 2 more different phones to choose from could you.

I had a Pearl and an N95. My fave of the two by far was the Pearl. Awesome for email.

I currently have a Curve and an N95-2. I much prefer the Curve.

Unless you need a 5mp camera go for the Blackberry

Thanks for the above. I'm with T-mobile and am thinking of the following tariff:

Combi 20 + web'n'walk

Monthly allowance: 200 minutes and 400 texts to use any time, any network * Unlimited internet and emails

£25.00 per month

Do I need need the Blackberry Instant Email extra @ £5/month as the tariff above states unlimited internet & emails (fair use policy of course)?

Can someone explain what this extra option gives me as opposed to the included email/internet feature.

Thanks

The key reason for getting a Blackberry is to benefit from instant email. To get that you have to subscribe to the Blackberry Internet Service.

There's a good deal on the Blackberry on O2:
Online 35
18 months contract
1000 texts / 600 mins
with BlackBerry Unlimited

For £35 per month.

The T-Mobile site gives you an extra 100 mins and an extra 2000 (unlimited) texts for £2.50 more.

The O2 one is unlimited internet and push email. The T-Mobile one appears to be either or, unless you take both and that takes it up to £44 pm.
