I have just purchased a 32" LCD TV from Argos - make is Bush and model number is LT32M1CA (have been told by Bush that this is an Argos model number though!)

I am looking to programme my Sky+ remote for sound, standby etc. I have tried countless three and four digit codes without success.

Anyone got any bright ideas or even do you know how I can take this forward with Argos as Bush don't want to know?

Feel like returning it as it does everything else except work the sound which is extremely frustrating!!!

PLEASE HELP!!

Have you tried running through all the codes manually by pressing TV then standby until the remote light blinks three times?

Sorry don't know what you mean! I have been entering codes individually.

Sorry don't know what you mean! I have been entering codes individually.
Proceed as normal and enter a code, then follow the instructions in bold.

1. Turn your TV on.

2. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

3. Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.

4. Press tv on your Sky remote control again.

5. Key in the four digit code for your brand of TV. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice. If the light blinks once only, recheck the code for your brand of TV and start again at Step 1.

6. Press the standby button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice (code stored). If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press the standby button. Repeat this (press tv, then standby) until your TV turns off, then press select (stores code).

If at this point the LED on the Sky remote control blinks three times then all possible codes for that make of receiver have been checked. Repeat from step one, ensuring that you enter the correct manufacturer code.

Looks like you have exhausted all the code options, the only alternative is to pursue it via Argos or possible Sky.

Tried Sky - they gave me loads of codes (none of which worked). Tried emailing Argos twice today but their website kept crashing! No phone number as far as I could see.... very frustrating...

I just got a Bush 32 inch and when I accidentally pressed the volume on my sky remote the TV volume changed. I hadn't yet got around to changing it from the Hitachi 24 in HIC24W1TN CRT code that the Bush replaced.

Have you asked Bush for their help? Since they make the TV they're more likely to know if its possible or not, some TVs made by manufacturers like Bush and Technika just don't seem to work for some reason.

If your Sky+ is anything like my Sky, the only thing on the actual TV that the remote controls is power on/off, switching between Sky and analogue TV (why you'd need that in the first place is beyond me - since it doesn't cycle through the AV inputs) and volume; all of which can be done using the TV remote.

Bush don't make it, they just buy it in and badge it.

With the correct code the Help button cycles through the AV inputs.

Try the process suggested by Deacon1972 but totally omit step 5.

This may take a long time and is not gauranteed but if you get to the end of the process with no luck ( the red light on Sky box flashes every time you press TV), you'll know that that remote is never going to control your particular TV.

Hi, not sure if you have solved this yet, but I have just bought this same TV today and got my sky code from the sky web site, which was 1130 and it worked first time.

Dont know if this problem has been solved yet but I am gonna add my 2p's worth.

Just got sky+hd today and with the said TV had quite a game setting the remote up, however this worked for me after extensive googling...
---------------------------------------
TO PROGRAM THE remote USING THE 3 DIGIT CODE: 253

1. Turn on the TV receiver

2. Press TV on the Sky Remote Control

3. Hold down SELECT and the RED buttons together for approximately two seconds, until the RED LED on the Sky remote blinks twice.

4. Enter three digit code from list for the receiver (early versions now flash twice).

5. Press select to enter code structure (the LED will flash twice if a valid code has been entered).

6. Now press the STDBY button and test other functions.

Repeat if necessary until a code is found that works most common functions.
