connecting more than one device to telly

I have a set up in the bedroom which consists of an old telly that only has one scart socket.

I need to connect both a dvd player (not recorder) and a pvr.

Currently I have the pvr connected to the tv and I'll switch this to the dvd player as necessary. This is getting to be abit of a pain. I have seen a 2 to 1 scart connector which I think will solve my problem but I noticed I also have an aux scart on the pvr.

Do I need the 2 to 1 or can I connect the scart from the dvd player to the aux of the pvr and have the pvr scart connect to the telly? I mean does this just act like a loop through?

What's the most ideal way of connecting this set-up regarding picture quality?

Should do. Try it and see. That's how Sky boxes work - the auxiliary scart (marked VCR) is both an input and output. And whatever signal it receives on the input is sent to the output (which in your case will be your telly).

Thanks Willie,

I wasn't sure if it was a two way thing. I've just tried it and has done the job, saving me a few quid and a trip into town. Cheers.
