Tosh 32AV505D screen gap!!

Hey I've just bought a Toshiba Regza 32AV505D from Comet 2 weeks ago. Now I've only just noticed that while playing DVD's when the screen's dark there's a gap between the screen and the surround at the bottom which lets light through into the screen. This causes the screen to go brighter in the bottom left and right.
Now has anyone else had this problem, is it fixable by me (Mmmm) or should I take it back.
Also seem it's my only TV if I take it back will they fix it or will they give me a replacement, as I've heard horror stories on here about peeps losing their TV for WEEKS or more..
Thanks,
Dan.
P.S If anyone else has one of these what settings do you use?

Hi.

For settings, try here......

I think that you have "backlight bleed" I'm sure that is a fault.

Try turning down the backlight setting.

As you are within 28 days of purchase, Comet should replace your set if it is considered faulty.

Thanks I'll take it back, doesn't say much for their quality control does it lol.
Lucky I kept the box.

Hey there folks.Ive just got the above Toshiba.Dont have any problems like above apart from the fact that I cant tune it in properly. It doesnt pick up my local transmitter which is 10mins away.Instead it picks up one that about an hour away. Also on other tv's in the house we get perfect analogue reception and cant on my tv.I dont mind the Uk channels since when I get the freeview sorted I will have them but we get perfect RTE1 and RTE2 coverage in my areas as well and it looks pathetic on my tv.Help.Im using the exact same aerial on the roof as the other tvs and two of them are new enough HD sony lcd's.
