Has anyone got a contact address, number or e mail for Thomson.
MY Thomson is absolute rubbish, freezes all the time and we've taken it back to Asda twice. They refuse to change it again.

You need to contact Top Up TV, not Thomson

In what way is it freezing?

We have'nt subscribed to top up tv. The programmes are jumpy and we have to turn the power off and back on again regularly for it to work. Invalid recordings every week too.

Sorry as this is off topic but I don't get why thompson decided to release a new box with the full knowledge they don't work properly.

Top Up TV provide support for this DTR, not Thomson....regardless of whether or not you are a subscriber.
I would say that with jumpy recordings, that the DTR is faulty.

What are your signal levels like?

If this has happened on 3 different DTR's are you sure there's no electrical interference that could be causing it?

Try turning off both the Guardtime and the RF Modulator (if you don't need it) and see if that helps.

The hardware in most cases are fine....there's just a few glitches in the software wich TUTV engineers are working on that causes some of the problems.

If the box is faulty and you've not had it long, then the seller must either replace it or refund you the full value. It doesn't matter how many boxes you've had, if they are supplying faulty goods then the law is on your side. Of course, you must be sure that the unit is faulty and its not a problem with your aerial system causing the poor performance.

Thanks all. We took it back to Asda and despite saying we couldn't return it for the 3rd time originally they gave us our money back.
We've now got a Panasonic with Dvd recorder and bought another set top box so we can record and watch another at same time.
The Panasonic was a swap from my dad who couldn't suss it out and we gave him our Dvd player, which was all he wanted in the first place (long story but he's happy now)
