Sky Talk - How do I complain?
intune
24-08-2008
Hello...

I recently switched my line rental to Sky Talk from BT. Last Friday (15/08) I've been unable to make outgoing calls, they divert to the generic Sky number.

I can receive incoming calls fine.

I had been with Sky Talk Line Rental for about six weeks and had no problems
Previously I had line rental with BT and took the all inclusive calls package with Sky Talk.

I've been on the phone for hours with Sky trying to get the problem fixed, afterall I'm paying for line rental and a calls package. I've spoken to about 20 different people in the dreadful overseas call centre and here in the UK.

I've had various excuses from
- oops, we've accidentily restricted your outgoing calls
- oops, sorry about that, one my colleagues has done that in error
- BT are restricting your line
- Computer software error at Sky, new programme needs writing to solve the problem

I checked with BT, they've no problem. I'm paid up, cancellation of line rental contract paid.. all my phone business is now with Sky.

Sky say one of their specialists should call me. Sky say a different thing every time I call.

I just want to make my calls.

Help please... I cant stand another 40 minutes on hold and having to explain the situation over and over and over and over and over and over and over..........

"Let me put you on hold sir"
"Let me transfer to another colleague"
"You've come through to the wrong department"

Arrghh !

How do I complain, where do I write and to who?

do you still have line rental with Sky? If so, then you may have RTCC (route to credit control) active on your line due to being in a bad debt cycle whereby you need to make a paymenty on your account.
