Dowling is doing the voice over on "The Salon"

I was surprised nobody mentioned it, but Brian Dowling is doing the voice over on "The Salon", daily CH4 at 6pm.

So hes back where he started!!, his voice is very grating and annyoing, it sounds like hes putting on an over emphasised media dahling accent.

I tried, I really tried, but ten minutes of The Salon tonight was all I could take.

I lasted 5 mins longer than you, with the new Salon series Edna. Gave it 15 mins, and that was 15 mins too long. I was watching someone getting a manicure, and the young girl giving the manicure, made her clients finger bleed. God, the Salon is so boring.

When Salon 1 was on, I caught the last couple of weeks of that one. I only kept watching that one because I liked John on there, he used to make me laugh, although even he could be a bit much at times.

That can't be true, mystic..no way.

Endemol actively discourage "wannabes",...it's the last thing they want, ..they say.

So obviously Endemol wouldn't produce the Salon,..because if they did, and gave Brian Dowling a TV job,..then that would obviously attract literally thousands of wannabe fame seekers to apply to be on BB5,
...as they'd know that Endemol could well give them a job out of it if they show off and do well in BB.

So no,..you must be thinking of someone other than Endemol.
With Brian getting the Salon gig,....BB5 would be like flies round shit.
When you consider how BB4 went,...obviously Endemol wouldn't be so stupid to send such messages out, and give us some really fake HMs in BB5 next year.
It would be like making the same mistakes again and putting BB5 into potential jeapordy.

However,..if they decide to be more honest with us,..and rename Big Brother..."TV Presenter Academy"...that would probably make it alright. Then we won't have to be lied to, and Endemol can just do as they wish without the need to cover up any real intentions.

hi AM, as usual I'm sure you must be right there.
I retract, it does sound most implausible... It would be quite unseemly of them were it to be true....

I honestly think Brian was picked as a narrator simply because a) he's gay and will supposedly appeal to the gay viewers, and b) he won Big Brother 2. I personally do not think he is very good in the role, and was particularly poor on the first Salon episode when we were shown the selection process for the new employees.

Bring back the bloke who did it last year. . .if we have to even bother with this tedious good-for-nothing format.
